The Race To 5000 Members

 

Welcome to Sponsor My Ride, the cyclists network.

We are looking for 5000 cyclists to register with Sponsor My Ride. When we reach our target membership, SMR will roll out its sponsorship scheme which will give you the chance to earn money through peddle power.

The sponsorship scheme offers you the opportunity to make money by decking your bike with advertising stickers. People who register early will have priority to join the scheme.

We would like to thank all the people who have already emailed us asking for more details. Read on to find out how the scheme will work.

 

How Our Scheme Works

To be eligible you must be at least 18 years of age, a registered member of SMR, and own a bicycle.

We are looking for people who regularly cycle, particularly those of you who cycle to and from work. So to begin with we want people in current employment, and who can verify this by providing proof of their home and work address.

Cyclists will be asked to place four stickers approximately 30cms x 3cms on each side of each of their diagonal and vertical central frame. These stickers will contain sponsor logos and website addresses or marketing messages.

Successful applicants will be paid a fixed rate per mile cycled. As we plan to launch in London, before rolling the scheme out to the rest of the UK, to begin with pay rates will calculated by travel zone:

• 18p per mile cycled in Zone 1
• 14p per mile in Zone 2
• 12p per mile in Zones 3-4
• 10p per mile in Zones 5-6

People who cycle for a living such as couriers may be eligible for a special rate. Please inform us of any additional circumstances that you would like us to take into consideration.
